Growing up in rural small-town Virginia, I remember walking to the two local mercantile stores to purchase household supplies for my Mother. At those old stores, you could buy everything from gumdrop candies to hammers. In addition to filling your shopping list, those stores were the center of community activity; a meeting place to converse with your neighbors and friends while you savored the flavor and sweetness of ice cream and a RC Cola.

I am a nature and wildlife photographer who traversed the world for two decades before residing in the beautiful state of Virginia to spend my time capturing wonderful images of egrets, blue heron, glorious sunsets and other scenes that touch my heart.
