During the early spring, the ospreys (North American raptors) are common sights soaring over the shoreline of the James River at Lions Bridge in Newport News, Virginia. They are the epitome of concentration and aerial surveillance. When an Osprey locates prey in the river, it rapidly descends; diving with feet outstretched eager to snare and unsuspecting fish in its powerful and lethal talons.
